Eduardo Soto is a partner of Soto Frugis Advogados. He has over 25 years of experience in the corporate labor area, advising Brazilian and international companies of different sizes and sectors, on all fronts related to Labor law.

Eduardo acts in labor issues arising from corporate operations, such as mergers and acquisitions, business transfers and international secondments. His services also involve the creation and adaptation of global compensation plans to local laws, bonus and profit sharing plans and stock options.
As a specialized legal advisor, he has recognized experience in identifying hidden labor liabilities, and measures to solve or minimize labor risks, further to providing routine advice to the Personnel and Human Resources department.

With outstanding experience in administrative and judicial litigation, Eduardo has worked in complex cases involving relevant issues, from collective actions such as public-interest civil actions to relevant individual cases involving the hiring of expatriates and executives.

It is worth mentioning the solid experience with union negotiations, both for discussion of internal strategies, as well as the negotiation of collective agreements, including the company’s defense in collective labor disputes.
Before founding Soto Frugis Advogados, he worked as a lawyer and partner in charge of the labor area at some of the largest law firms in Brazil.

He is included among the best Labor lawyers in Brazil, recognized by international and national publications and rankings such as Chambers & Partners, Who’s Who Legal, The Legal 500, Best Lawyers, Latin Lawyer, LACCA (Approved Practitioner), Análise Advocacia, among others.

He is a member of the Portuguese Bar Association (Lisbon) and the Spanish Bar Association (Madrid) and is admitted to practice in all EU member countries, in accordance with applicable local regulations.

In view of his studies and work in the Spanish legal market between 2009 and 2011, Eduardo Soto maintains a close relationship with the Spanish legal market, being a prominent member of the Legal Committee of the Brazilian Chamber of Commerce in Madrid, of the National Association of Labor Lawyers (ASNALA), in addition to the Spanish Chamber of Commerce in São Paulo, where he was chairman of the Legal Committee (Biennium 2013-2015). He is also a member of the São Paulo Lawyers Association (AASP).
